Eugen Mikoczy, Senior Designer, Design & Architecture of Applications, Slovak Telekom

Eugen Mikoczy received his engineer degree in Informatics from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in 2002, currently continuing as PhD candidate with the participation on different R&D projects and education activities there (e.g. leading of the NGN laboratory). For several years he has been involved in the international development and research projects focused on new NGN technologies
within industrial or academic institutions.

Since 2003 Eugen has been working for Slovak Telekom (ST) as Product Developer responsible  for development of several new ST products based on IN and NGN service platforms. In 2005-2006, he also worked on the development of ST IPTV service Magio (IPTV over the broadband fixed network). He is currently a Senior Designer responsible for design and architecture evolution of the NGN application and service control layer in ST focusing on the IPTV architecture and IPTV applications, IMS based NGN, and NGN based IPTV standardization.

Eugen is also co-author of several books and has published a number of scientific papers. He is frequently invited as a speaker or member of TPC for international conferences and workshops,
or to give lectures, tutorials or presentations on different aspects of the NGN or IPTV topics.
He is the representative of Slovak Telekom in ITU-T (SG13 -NGN) and ETSI TISPAN where he has
been actively contributing and participating on the ETSI TISPAN NGN Release 2 and 3
standardization of both TISPAN NGN based IPTV architectures (IMS based IPTV, NGN
Integrated IPTV) for the last 3 years. Eugen is a member of IEEE, IEEE Communication
Society, ACM (SIGCOM & SIGMM), and ICST.
