Alex Chelmis, IPTV Manager, Digital Media Department, Hellas online (HOL), Greece

Born in 1975 in Athens (Greece), Alex moved to the UK in 1992 for his studies at Lancaster University where he graduated with a BEng in Mechanical & Electronic Engineering and then continued at Lancaster for an MSc in Multimedia Broadcasting.

His carrier started in London (1999) where we worked as a Developer Engineer and then as a Technical manager for the satellite network BskyB. For the next 7 years, he went on to see the sky digital platform grow from 500K to 8m subscribers, and he played a key role in the development of the PVR (sky+), High definition (sky HD), and Interactive applications (sky active).

Leaving UK in 2006, Alex returned to Greece where he worked with On Telecom's IPTV platform as an Integration Manager and then he moved to Hellas online (HOL) in the IPTV Manager position. With the successful launch of "hol tv", today Alex is leading the Digital Media department at Hellas online looking after IPTV, Content and online strategy.
